Dyllan Zachary Robert Lovett

Dyllan Zachary Robert Lovett, 10, passed away March 15, 2019. He was born April 25, 2008 in Tavares, Florida.   He is preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Sharon Benton.

Dyllan came to Manatee County 6 years ago from Clermont, Florida. He was a fifth grader at Blackburn Elementary School and loved attending Sarasota Community Church.  Dyllan was an exceptional honor student.  He even received a letter from Governor Rick Scott acknowledging his outstanding performance in school.  Last summer he got to spend the summer at Southeastern University in Lakeland for the Envision Pathways to Stem Program in Medical, Engineering, Robotics and Forensics.  He was a member of the TSA for gifted students.  Dyllan loved riding his scooter, dominating Xbox, learning guitar, and keyboard.  He enjoyed music and singing in the shower.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Michelle Highsmith and her fiancé Joseph Montgomery; father, Robert Lovett; his step brother and #1 friend, Andrew Montgomery; brother Christopher Highsmith and his wife Kelly, and their children Brock, Audrey, and Olivia (due in May); brother Sebastian Lovett and wife Stacy; Uncle Jay and Aunt Debbie Lovett; Aunts Tammy, Kathy, Sherry, and Amy Lovett; Great Aunts Elsie and Peggy Lovett; Aunt Christine Johns and children Kyle and Lauren; Aunt Cynthia Koch, Uncle Taylor, and children Brady and Emily.

Dyllan was mature beyond his years.  He thought like an adult and had no patience for people that goofed off.  He was a fun loving boy who tirelessly helped others often volunteering at Family Promise.  He was a kind soul, loved science and led by example.  He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends, teachers, and school administrators.

There will be a visitation on Wednesday, March 20, 2019, from 5:00 to 6:30pm, followed by a Memorial Service at 6:30pm, at Sarasota Community Church, 4041 Bahia Vista Street, Sarasota, Florida 34232.

Memorial contributions may be made in Dyllan’s honor to Family Promise of Sarasota which helps families in need at www.familypromisessc.org or Dyllan’s gofundme page at www.gofundme.com/dyllan-lovett-memorial-service
