Kyle George Ackerman
Kyle George Ackerman, left this world on May 7, 2020, passing away quicker than expected and not nearly as long as he deserved. He laughed as he left with the sun shining in Sarasota, FL knowing it would be soon snowing in his hometown of Buffalo, NY. Passing at the age of 57, he did not quite have the chance to grow old, yet had the youthful soul of a man who would never quite grow up. C’mon have you seen his Facebook posts? He loved Harley’s, puns, his family, the Buffalo Bills, photography, all animals - especially his dog named Oreo and cat named Chuck Morris and most certainly Jimmy Buffet. Not necessarily in that order. He despised the Patriots, Nancy Pelosi, and peas. Not necessarily in that order.
Kyle was the Business Manager for Bert’s Black Widow Harley Davidson in Port Charlotte, FL. He stood out, not because of his bald head, but because of his genuine candor and authenticity that is hard to come by. He was willing to give the shirt off his back to help a stranger (hope they like Harley tees). Kyle was kind, humble, and rarely bragged. Unless it came to discussing his greatest achievements, his sons.
Behind his quick wit, striking blue eyes, ravishing goatee, and soft smile, was a heart a gold. Kyle was too good for this earth, and for what seemed to be his final joke, he allowed COVID-19 to be his way out the door. Rumor has it, Kyle didn’t fly through the gates of heaven but rode his motorcycle instead.
As a true Jimmy Buffet Parrot Head would say, “Some of it’s magic, some of it’s tragic, but I had a good life all the way”. Kyle would not want us to grieve in his death, but to celebrate in his memory. Preferably, with Crown Royal.
Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Kristopher, Kassidy and Zachary Ackerman; mother, Diane Ackerman; father, George Ackerman and his wife Sandy; brother, Jason Ackerman (Carrie); uncle (and Godfather), Reed Ackerman and his wife Trudy; cousin (like a sister), Kelly; his niece (Haley) and nephews (Jordan and Jacob), as well as many cousins and friends who loved him dearly. Services for Kyle will be private. Arrangements are being handled for the family by Maloney Funeral Home. http://www.mfhcares.com/>
