Carolyn Lee Hyatt

Carolyn Lee Hyatt was born on December 24, 1962, in Peachtree, Georgia, and passed away on July 8, 2026, following complications from surgery. Carolyn was one of eight children. She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Carol Graham, her brother, Ronnie and her sister Susan Camille. She is survived by her brothers Tommy, John, and Jesse, and her sisters Cindy and Carmen. As one of the older siblings, she helped care for her younger twin brothers, John and Jesse, during their childhood as they were secretly her favorites. Those who knew Carolyn in her younger years remember her quick wit and wonderful sense of humor. She was never afraid to say exactly what was on her mind at any given moment. A quality that was both endearing and intimidating. She loved to laugh and had a way of making others laugh with her, this left many fond memories with family and friends. Throughout her life, Carolyn called several places home and experienced many chapters that shaped who she was. Along the way, she built lasting friendships and created memories that remained with her throughout the years. Carolyn spent the later part of her career as the Facilities Manager at Sarasota School of Arts & Sciences, a position she truly loved. She especially enjoyed the students and was known for always having candy and treats to share with them, a small gesture that brought smiles to many children. The affection was mutual, and she formed meaningful connections with both the students and her coworkers. During her illness, her coworkers demonstrated how much she meant to them by helping her navigate the disability process and by visiting her in the hospital with gifts, cards and flowers to brighten her days. Their kindness and support brought comfort to her and her daughter, Fawn during a difficult time. Carolyn is survived by her children, William and Fawn Hale, and by her beloved grandson, Cody, who brought her immense joy and held a very special place in her heart. He will forever have a special place in his heart as well for his one and only “Mimi”. A celebration of Carolyn’s life will be held at a later date. Family and friends will be notified once arrangements have been finalized. Carolyn will be remembered by those whose lives she touched, and her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, coworkers, and the many students who looked forward to seeing her each day.
