Malinda Yoder

Malinda Yoder, 82, entered her eternal home August 23, 2025 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 4, 1943 in Thomas, Oklahoma to the late David A and Lizzie Miller. Malinda was a homemaker and loved gardening and flowers. As a minister’s wife, she exercised her gift of hospitality by providing numerous meals and hosting guests in their home. She was sweet, kind and valued relationships and invested in people; especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Malinda was employed at Sunnyside Village for 27 years in the laundry department and also did mending for the residents. She loved her job and the interaction with the elderly. She gave cheer and kindness to many. Malinda was married to her late husband Eli H Yoder on October 21, 1962 and shared 60 wonderful years together. They moved to Sarasota, Florida in 1993 and were faithful members of Sarasota Mennonite Church. She loved her church and even more so for the love, care and support they gave to her after the passing of her beloved husband Eli. Left to cherish her are her children, Beulah Yoder (Titus); Brenda Handrich (Steve) both of Sarasota; Glen (Darlene) of Montezuma, Georgia and Ruth Ann Williams (Ralph) from Burns Flat, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Brandon (Tara); Tyler (Courtney); Angel (Andy); Darin (Tiffany); Damin (Krystal); Shawna (Ryan); Lindsey (Glendon); Brandon (Vicki); Justin (Adrenne); Valerie (Dalen); Tami; Beverly; Summer (Bryce); Sharlene and Haley; great grandchildren, Quinn, Kellen, Rhett, Brynlee, Cole, Duncan (Alexis), Maeve, Druinn, Hunter, (Connor), Savannah, Mason, Cooper, Mason Christopher, Carter, Grayson, Colton, Alaya, Sydney, Arya, Sienna, Leighton, Conner, Rae Lynn, Bryson, Kynson, Kanton, and Beckham. In addition to her husband, Malinda was preceded in death by her sisters Fannie Yoder and Alma Yoder and brothers, Amos Miller and Paul Miller. There will be viewings on Wednesday, August 27, 2005 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and Thursday 9:00 to 10:00 am all at Sarasota Mennonite Church, 2180 Lakewood Ranch Blvd. Sarasota, Florida 34240. Funeral will begin Thursday at 10:00 am followed by interment in Sunnyside Mennonite Cemetery.
