Marlin Eicher

Marlin Eicher was born on May 28, 1973 in Marshfield, Missouri, to Levi and Leona (Graber) Eicher. He passed peacefully at his home in Florida on August 4th, following complications from an aggressive type of prostate cancer in addition to colorectal cancer. On March 10, 1994, he married Karen Regina Miller, with whom he shared 31 years of marriage. He is survived by his wife, Karen, and their four children: Marlin Dale, his wife, Krystal, and beloved grandson, Blake Daniel, of Sterling, Alaska; Laurinda (Rita) Leanne of Sarasota, Florida; Judith (Judy) Marie of Brooklyn, New York; and Rosita (Rose) Joy and her husband, Micah Kuhns, of Sabina, Ohio. He is also survived by his parents, Levi and Leona Eicher; four brothers, Ervin Eicher, Lester Eicher, Philip Eicher, and Rueben Eicher; and four sisters, Laura Yoder, Lydia Mae Stutzman, Rosemary Eicher, and Regina Eicher. He is preceded in death by one grandbaby, brother Stephen, sister Rachel, niece Marlene and nephew Leonard. He also leaves behind countless friends, uncles and aunts, in-laws, and nieces and nephews who will keenly feel the hole left by his move to Glory. Marlin was an entrepreneur at heart and excelled in the businesses he pursued. He was especially gifted in harmonious relationships with merchants, customers, and employees. After his illness, and especially in the latter months of his life, he received many affirmations from friends who voiced the highest regard for his work, friendship, and Christian witness. Marlin loved nothing more than spending time with his family and prioritized them in every capacity. He also loved fishing, hunting, and making connections with people. He never met a stranger, and knew how to make others laugh and feel welcomed. His work ethic, integrity, generosity, and kindness left an impression on everyone he met. He built a legacy rooted in Jesus, family and community. I’ve watched the angels come and take my loved ones home to stay, I’ve got more to go to heaven for than I had yesterday! We as a family want to thank all who have supported us with prayer, food, flowers and many other acts of kindness during this time of bereavement as well as throughout the lengthy cancer journey.
