Robert Milliken

In loving memory of Robert Milliken It is with a broken heart that we let you know my dad, Robert (Bob) Milliken, has passed on. He left surrounded by love and with my mom Dorothy at his side, and in his arms, as always. He was born January 11, 1947 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He spent many fun summers in Wildwood, New Jersey, lived on a farm in Seabrook NJ and later moved to Port Charlotte FL. He owned a successful business, Robert Milliken Builders, for years, was a farmer, had an amazing eye for real estate, and most importantly, he was a fantastic husband, dad, pop pop and friend. Bob was a wonderful man whose main goal in life was to love, spoil and support his family. He left knowing that he accomplished this and so much more. He was a friend to all, had a heart of gold, and touched all of us deeply. The world won’t be the same without him. Bob had faced a number of health issues this year, including kidney problem and dialysis, but remained his beautiful, considerate, loving self throughout his journey. I will always think about him taking care of the animals at the farm, spending time on the boardwalk, riding in the truck squished right against his side, him telling me I fit in his pocket (and me believing it for far too long), Christmas’s, vacations, Disney and most importantly the overwhelming love he gave us all. He was my “twin” and he’ll forever be in my heart. If you are reading this, know that he loved you too. He never met a stranger and lived such a full life filled with happiness and so many stories. Please keep Bob in your hearts as well, share your stories about him with others, and remember what an absolutely extraordinary person he was. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, of 57 years, Dorothy Milliken; daughters Robyn Milliken and her husband Brad; Dawn Impagliazzo and her husband Michael; and granddaughter Kelsey Impagliazzo. In lieu of a memorial service or charitable donations, we ask that you please continue Bobs memory through acts of kindness.
