Ada A Petersheim, 84, passed away May 17, 2021. She was born April 16, 1937 in Mount Hope, Ohio to the late Aden and Fannie (Mast) Keim. Ada came to Sarasota back in the 1950’s from Holmes County, Ohio and was a member of the First Pinecraft Amish Church. She was a hostess for Der Dutchman for 27 years. She enjoyed puzzles, playing her harmonica, tending to her beautiful flower garden. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren very much! Left to cherish her memories are her children, Cindy Beachy and her husband Abe of Sarasota, Florida; Rose Eash and her husband Elmer of Haven, Kansas; Leroy Petersheim and his wife Carol of Arthur, Illinois; and daughter-in-law Judy Miller and her husband Stanton of Hutchinson, Kansas; grandchildren, Allen, Rosalyn and her husband David, Justin, Travis and his wife Allison, Lucinda and her husband Matt, Julie and her husband Wes, Mike, Ethan, Ina and Nolan; great grandchildren, Jadon, Hannah, Grace, Elijah, Sarah, Paul, Benny, Whitney, Cora and Isaac; sister, Gertie Hershberger and her husband Abe of Dundee, Ohio; and brother, Leroy Keim and his wife Lydiann of Fredericksburg, Ohio. In addition to her parents, Ada was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Christ; son Ray; and sister Emma. There will be a visitation on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 from 6 to 8 pm at the Tourist Mennonite Church, 3340 Bahia Vista Street, Sarasota, Florida 34239. Funeral will be Thursday, May 20, 2021 at 10:00 am also at Tourist Mennonite Church. Interment will follow in Sunnyside Mennonite Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled for the family by Maloney Funeral Home.
