Blanca Lidia Ibarrondo-Ruiz, 75, passed away May 18, 2022. She was born March 1, 1947, in Las Marias, Puerto Rico, to the late Angel Homero Ibarrondo and Prexedes Ruiz. Blanca came to Sarasota in 2010 from San Sebastian, Puerto Rico. She was a nurse and loved singing in the choir, and was very active at her church, Iglesia Bautista Misionera de Sarasota. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Angel Quintana and his wife Veronica; daughters, Carol Quintana and her husband Benny Burnett; Elizabeth Ramsden-Quintana and her husband Petter Ramsden; grandchildren, Astrid Carolina Morro, Kimberly, and Isabella Quintana, Alex Quinones, and Bianca Thomas; and great-grandsons, Marlie and Hazel. There will be a Celebration of Blanca’s life on Saturday, May 28, 2022, at 5:00 pm at Iglesia Bautista Misionera de Sarasota, 2035 Magnolia Street (rear) Sarasota.
