Ralph Christner, 77, passed away March 15, 2022. He was born April 30, 1944 in McMinnville, Oregon to the late Owen and Martha (Mullet) Christner. Ralph came to Sarasota in the 1960’s and was a carpenter. He was later the head custodian for Philippi Shores Elementary School. He played guitar and sang for the Pinecraft Pickers. He loved woodworking and wood projects. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 52 years, Esther; daughter, Wyanda Bixler and her husband Stephen; sons, Waylon Christner; Steven Christner and his wife Glenda; and Michael Christner; sisters, Viola Christner, Arlene Wilson, Elaine Wilson and Mary Owings and her husband Jerry; grandchidlren, Christopher, Jacob, Tyler, Hannah, Jonathan, Zachary and Joshua. In addition to his parents, Ralph was predeceased by his great grandson Benjamin; and his niece, Tammy Wilson. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 10:00 am at South Shore Community Church, 1899 S. Tuttle Avenue, Sarasota, Florida 34239. Burial will follow in Bethel Mennonite Cemetery, 2985 Bethel Lane, Sarasota, Florida 34240.
